International Students Officer

Hello! I’m Nysa, I’ve just finished my first year studying History, and I am your JCR International Student’s officer.
Flying in all the way from India, I do understand the culture shocks and logistical nightmares of moving to a new country for university. My job is to be your first point of contact on any issues related to being an international student such as luggage storage, flights, visas, tuberculosis certificates, customs, bank accounts and phone plans, or any other concern. I would like to make the translation as seamless and hassle free as possible!
My job also involves running cultural celebrations for events such as Diwali and Lunar New Year, as well as collaborative events with international students at other colleges as well as with International Oxford Societies and minority representatives. I am always open to further suggestions, and we try to organise an event for any important cultural celebration in the student body! Corpus is a wonderfully tight-knit college for internationals, and I would love to continue this in the ongoing cohorts.
For any questions, concerns or suggestions relating to the previous or anything else related to the international student experience and Corpus and Oxford, please do feel free to email me, nysa.agrawal@ccc.ox.ac.uk, or contact me through any social media platform, such as Facebook. I am always working to make Corpus a better place, especially for Internationals!
