Corpus Cheese Society

Here at Corpus we know how to have a good time, and that good time is eating cheese and drinking wine. CheeseSoc meets roughly once a fortnight to taste different cheeses. Each meeting there will be a selection of 6 or 7 cheeses (maybe 8 if we’re feeling decadent) for everyone to try a bit of. These cheeses will be hand picked from the Oxford Cheese Company in the covered market and will be a variety of different types – soft, goat, blue, washed-rind, the list goes on.

Each meeting tends to be between ten to twenty five students (you we be emailed the week of in order to sign up). We will sit in the JCR, bust out the crackers, grapes and chutney for everyone to share around and then the cheesing will begin. Each cheese will be introduced by a small spiel about how it’s produced and then it is handed around for everyone to try. Don’t worry, you don’t have to know anything about cheese, you just have to enjoy it! It’s a super chill time and definitely worth coming along.
