sophie.rees@ccc.ox.ac.uk. Naturally, the idea is to reach the top of the ladder. The rules are devilishly simple. You may challenge anyone up to 3 places above you (for the first two weeks of term, this is extended to up to 8 places above you to iron out imbalances due to new players being put at the bottom), and once challenged that person has 3 days to accept. The pair of you then have a further 5 days to arrange the match, the booking form for the squash court can be found on the exit leading out to Tom Quad by the buttery. Should they refuse, the challenger may claim a walk-over. This may seem obvious, but the point of the ladder is naturally for people to play squash, so I would encourage people to take up all challenges.
Should any player become injured, please let me know and I'll amend the ladder. Any injured player automatically concedes - should someone be unsporting and suitably lacking in scruples to challenge an injured player! (Though Peppin is the only current injury on there, so choose wisely grasshopper.) E-mail me with all results as soon as possible and I'll keep the ladder up to date.
